Everything you need to know about how Momentum turns your athlete’s training into accredited high school credit.

What Momentum Does

Momentum helps student athletes earn official high school credit for the training they already complete. There are no extra classes and no added work. Athletes keep their same practice schedule while Momentum handles all verification and transcript processing through our accredited school.

Parents gain real academic value from the time, effort and investment they already put into their athlete’s sport.

How It Helps Your Athlete

  1. Accredited high school credit
All credits are issued under full COGNIA accreditation.

  2. Transcript delivered through Parchment
The same system used by schools nationwide.

  3. No extra training required
Training stays the same. You only document what your athlete already does.

  4. Supports GPA and college applications
Athletes typically earn 2 to 3 credits per season, which strengthens transcripts and opens scholarship opportunities.

  5. Recognized in all 50 states
Credits transfer because they meet seat time requirements and come from an accredited institution.

The Parent Journey

The process is simple from start to finish. Most parents discover Momentum through Facebook or Instagram and quickly see the value in earning high school credit for their athlete’s sport. From there, they visit the Momentum website to review accreditation, transcript examples and clear explanations of how training turns into academic credit.

Enrolling is easy. Parents pay the $125 enrollment fee and complete a short student information form, which activates their athlete in the system. Immediately after enrolling, they gain access to the parent portal where they can view the training log, course catalog, automatic credit calculations, tuition totals and transcript status. Most athletes qualify for two to three credits per season.

Once credits are calculated, parents pay tuition for the credits their athlete earns. Momentum then verifies all training hours, including practices, conditioning sessions, competitions and attendance. Everything must meet accreditation standards.

After verification, credits are officially awarded. Athletes receive course titles, assigned credit amounts, final grades and the accreditation seal. Momentum then uploads the transcript directly to the family’s Parchment account, where parents can send it to their school, submit it to the NCAA or forward it to colleges. Many students earn six to nine credits per year by repeating this process each season.

We believe training deserves recognition not just on the scoreboard but on the transcript.

Tuition and Fees

Parents pay a $125 enrollment fee and then tuition based on the total number of credits earned. You only pay for the credits your athlete actually qualifies for.

School Acceptance

Schools almost always accept Momentum credits because they come from a COGNIA-accredited institution, meet all required seat-time standards and are delivered through Parchment. If your school needs documentation, Momentum provides everything required.

Why Parents Choose Momentum

Momentum is simple, trusted and nationally recognized. There are no extra classes, no schedule changes and no added training. Athletes receive credit for the work they already do, transcripts are processed quickly and stronger academic records help with college admissions and scholarships.

 FAQs

  • Yes.
Momentum credits come from a fully Cognia-accredited academic institution, the same accreditation used by public and private schools nationwide.

Schools accept outside accredited credits every day: dual credit, online courses, community college classes, homeschool transfers, and programs like Momentum. If a counselor has questions, we provide documentation and direct support.

  • In many schools, yes. If your high school counts accredited electives in GPA, Momentum credits can raise it.

Even in schools where electives don’t affect GPA, Momentum still:

    • Strengthens the transcript
    • Shows academic commitment
    • Adds earned credits
    • Improves the student’s profile for colleges and scholarships

Either way, it makes the transcript stronger.

  • Absolutely.
    Colleges are looking for:

    • Commitment
    • Time management
    • Discipline
    • Long-term involvement
    • Completion of additional credits

Momentum credits demonstrate all of these.
They also give your child more completed credits, which strengthens academic preparation and scholarship applications.

  • Yes.
Momentum credits are elective credits, not core classes.
They do not interfere with NCAA Core requirements and do not jeopardize eligibility.
NCAA athletes routinely submit supplemental accredited transcripts.

  • Your child’s official transcript is stored in Parchment, the national system used by 13,000+ schools and universities.

    You simply:

    1. Log into Parchment

    2. Select your high school or college

    3. Click “Send Transcript”

The school receives an official, verified record.

  • No.
Momentum recognizes the training your child already completes in their sport.

    No classes.
    No homework.
    No schedule changes.
We evaluate the structure, hours, and development in their current training.

  • It’s completely fine.
Momentum evaluates each season or training period independently.

    If your child:

    • Switches clubs
    • Changes sports
    • Moves to a new program
    • Takes a break

We simply evaluate the next training environment.

Credits are based on what the athlete actually completes, not where they do it.

  • That’s normal. Most counselors haven’t seen every accredited program.

    But counselors do understand:

    • Cognia accreditation
    • Accredited supplemental transcripts
    • Dual credit
    • Online coursework
    • Homeschool credit transfers

Momentum operates in that same accredited category.
If needed, we provide documentation and speak directly with your school to make it easy.

  • Just the basics:

    • Your child’s name and school
    • Their club, coach, or academy
    • A simple confirmation of training schedule (we guide you)
    • Season dates
    • Contact information

    Momentum handles:

    • Credit evaluation
    • Verification
    • Transcript creation
    • Parchment upload
    • Delivery to schools

Parents do not have to create lesson plans, take exams, or build curriculum.

  • Very fast.
Once enrollment is complete and training is verified:

Credits are issued promptly and uploaded to the student’s Parchment account.

Most families see credits in 1–3 weeks, depending on the season and documentation.
